Yes, you can. We ask that you let us know prior to scheduling your audit, that you’ve had one completed by another company. In most cases, we don’t need to redo your audit as your previous one can be transferred over to us by the utility company. However, we will have to visit your home to verify the audit data collected by the previous company. Keep in mind that you may have to pay for your energy audit, if the previous company already billed the utility for your audit.
An energy audit generally costs $400. With the rebate programs that we offer, your utility will cover $300 for your home energy audit fee, leaving you with an out of pocket cost of $100. Some grant programs may offer to pay the $100 fee on behalf of the customer or some utilities may choose to cover more than $300 for the audit fee, leaving the customer with a lower out of pocket expense.
To find out if you qualify, please visit the following webpage to enter your home address in their ERC Locator. If your address appears in the shaded purple area on the locator, you qualify for the Clean Energy Grant. If your address doesn’t appear in the locator, you do not qualify. Verify Your Address
